Handheld - Wine By The Glass

This functionality is added with the Wine By The Glass Plugin. Only customer's marked as "On-Premise" may be surveyed. Customers are considered on-premise if the Off-Premise checkbox is not checked on the Customer Beverage Panel. The surveys are not scheduled and do not need to be performed in order to full sync.

The mobile devices record the tap information which can be viewed via the ION Report - Wine By the Glass.

What Items Appear in the Survey?

  • If the item is associated with a brand flagged as “Is wine” it will appear on the survey. Unbranded items or items associated with brands that are not marked as “Is wine” cannot be surveyed.
  • During a survey the only wine items subject to search through are: (1) competitor wine items, and (2) wines that were sold into the account. However, mobile devices will only know if a wine has been sold into an account if the wine is part of the downloaded sales history. Distributor wines, if not sold into an account within eoStar’s downloaded history, cannot be surveyed.

How-To Do a Wine By The Glass Survey on the Handheld

  1. From the main screen, tap Run Route.
  2. Select the customer, and tap Service then Wine By The Glass Survey.
  3. Either Add or Rename the location by selecting the hyperlink at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Tap the "+" symbol to add the Wines.
  5. When finished making Changes, click the hyperlink Save.

How-To Do a Wine By The Glass Survey on the Tablet

  1. From eoTablet's main screen, tap Run Route.
  2. Select the customer and tap WBTG (Wine By The Glass Survey).
  3. Either Add or Rename the location by selecting either Add Location or Rename Location.
  4. Tap the Image of the Taps.
  5. When finished making Changes, click the hyperlink Save.
