Bill and Hold

Bill and Hold is the process of a customer placing an order, paying for it, and having it delivered to them at a later date. Often times a customer may purchase a large amount of product and have smaller disbursements delivered in the future. Dates for Bill and Hold orders regarding Payments, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger will reflect the date that the initial payment was submitted. Delivery dates will reflect the date the product was actually delivered to the customer.
